Surface Operations

This is where trained members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, using specially equipped vessels, in co-operation with and under control of The United States Coast Guard, will patrol the local waterways to be available to lend reasonable assistance to boaters in distress. While providing on-the-spot education to recreational boaters, verifying the location and presence of Aids to Navigation and noting chart errors to appropriate authorities.
